Our Commitment to Patient Safety
At Flagler Pharmacy, patient safety, medication integrity, and regulatory compliance are our highest priorities. Due to federal and state pharmacy regulations, medication handling requirements, and public health safety standards, certain products and services may not be eligible for refunds or cancellations once processed or dispensed.
Prescription Medication Refund Policy
Non-Returnable Items
For safety and legal compliance, Flagler Pharmacy cannot accept returns or issue refunds for:
Dispensed prescription medications
Compounded medications
Specialty medications
Temperature-sensitive medications
Controlled substances
Opened or partially used medications
Once medications leave the pharmacy, we cannot verify storage conditions or medication integrity, which prevents us from restocking or re-dispensing them.
Prescription Order Cancellations
Prescription orders may be canceled only if:
The medication has not been dispensed
The medication has not been shipped or delivered
Insurance processing or clinical verification has not been finalized
Patients should contact the pharmacy immediately to request cancellation. Once a prescription enters fulfillment or delivery processing, cancellation may no longer be possible.
Delivery Order Refund & Cancellation
Eligible Situations
Delivery orders may qualify for cancellation or refund if:
Delivery has not yet been dispatched
Incorrect medication or incorrect quantity was dispensed due to pharmacy error
Medication arrived damaged or compromised during transit
Patients must notify Flagler Pharmacy within 48 hours of delivery for investigation and resolution.
Delivery Limitations
Flagler Pharmacy is not responsible for:
Delivery delays caused by weather, courier disruptions, or incomplete patient information
Missed deliveries due to unavailable recipients
Improper storage after delivery confirmation
Over-the-Counter (OTC) & Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Returns
OTC and DME items may be eligible for return if:
The item is unopened, unused, and in original packaging
The return is requested within 7 days of purchase
The item is not a hygiene, personal care, or medical safety item
Non-Returnable OTC & DME Items
For safety and infection control, the following items are non-returnable:
Opened health or personal care products
Medical supplies that contact skin or bodily fluids
Customized or special-order medical equipment
Temperature-sensitive products
Compounded Medication Policy
Compounded medications are custom-prepared specifically for individual patients and cannot be returned or refunded, except in the event of verified pharmacy dispensing error or quality concern.
Vaccination & Clinical Service Cancellation
Appointments for vaccinations, consultations, or clinical services may be canceled or rescheduled if:
Cancellation is requested at least 24 hours before the appointment
The appointment has not already been administered or completed
Missed appointments may require rescheduling based on availability.
Pharmacy Error Resolution
If Flagler Pharmacy identifies or confirms a dispensing error, we will:
Replace the medication at no cost to the patient
Coordinate with the prescribing provider if necessary
Arrange expedited delivery when applicable
Conduct internal safety review to prevent recurrence
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed:
Using the original payment method whenever possible
Within 5–10 business days after approval
Subject to insurance claim reversal guidelines if applicable
Insurance copays or claim adjustments are subject to payer policies.
